Analysis of the narative of movie with zombie are one of the characters

Abstract

        The main purpose of this research is to study the narration of movies with zombies as one of the characters which lead to the creation of “Secret of the Death Railway” screenwriting. The researcher has chosen 3 historical horror movies which has zombie as one of the characters. Storytelling element concept is the main conceptual framework. Moreover, historical and horror screenwriting theories along with new character creation and adapted screenplay theories are also the study guidelines.


        Results show that movies with zombie as one of the characters, mostly they have appearance that look as well as or alike human with no perception, human nature or memory. Zombies only have a moving body, wild, eat every living creature and can get infectious after one bite. However, the main purpose of these movies would like to remind the audience the value of being human. Zombies can show the dark side of human as well as good side in the desperate time.
