The Analyze of Format and Development of Video Communication for Commencement Ceremony Photography of Amateur Photographer

Abstract

        This research aimed to study the photography concepts and photography formats of amateur photographers in commencement ceremony photography and development of video media for commencement ceremony photography. The research’s design divided into 4 stages: R1: analysis and synthesis of photographs and interviews with professional photographers, D1: creation of video media for commencement ceremony photography, R2 : experimenting with video media, D2 : complete commencement ceremony photography video creation. The research’s sample were the students in Rajabhat University of Rattanakosin group. Conduct research by analyzing and synthesizing photos. Interview with a professional photographer (R1). Use the information obtained to create a video media for commencement ceremony photography (D1). The photography comprehension test was used to test before and after watching the video media. A questionnaire was used to assess the effectiveness of video media (R2). Use the results to improve the video media completely (D2).

        The finding shows that the photography concepts divided into 8 subjects: Production, Content identification, Functional, Expressional, Figurative, Rhetorical-moral, Social or period, Comparative. And the photography formats divided into 8 subjects: Traditional portraits, Family and group portraits, Formal portraits, Conceptual portraits, Environmental portraits, Candid portraits, Glamour portraits, Close-up portraits. And the creativity of amateur photographer's commencement ceremony divided into 10 subjects: Contacting, Location, Photographic equipment, Posture, Composition and camera angles, Light, Problems, Retouching, Job submission, Tips. The finding also shows that development of video media for commencement ceremony photography of amateur photographer divided into 3 subjects: Creating video media for commencement ceremony photography, Experimenting with commencement ceremony photography video media, and complete commencement ceremony photography video creation.

        Video media for commencement ceremony photography passed reliability, validity, and evaluating expert opinion. Video media is used by testing before and after viewing video media. The results of the pre-test = 10.56 points and post-test = 14.86 points. The correlation between the two mean scores = .670. The hypothesis after viewing video media was higher than before viewing statistically significant at 0.05. The opinion level from the assessment of the effectiveness of video media was the highest average (X = 4.53, S.D.= .267 ). The issues with the highest averages were: Taking advantage of the media (X = 4.71, S.D.= .211 ).
