Abstract

This academic article is aimed at analyzing filmography of Jordan Peele, the Hollywood director who has earned many qualitative and commercial achievements. Films taken for the study are Get Out (2017), Us (2019), and Nope (2022). The analytical findings are that all films directed by Jordan Peele have 3 aspects in common that are: 1) the content which usually reflects American society in various aspects, especially African American inequality, class and capitalist society; 2) the film style which is specially presented by the director in horror genre; and 3) the construction which the director usually apply films relevance self-awareness.
