บทความนี้อภิปรายอุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองของเทย์เลอร์ สวิฟต์ในฐานะตัวแสดงทางการเมือง (political agency) ที่แสดงจุดยืนทางการเมือง สะท้อนผ่านการสื่อสารในผลงานบทเพลงของเธอ ระหว่างปี ค.ศ. 2006-2024 มิวสิควิดีโอ ภาพยนตร์กึ่งสารคดี เรื่อง “Miss Americana” (2020) บนแฟลตฟอร์ม Netflix และการเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองในสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ ผู้เขียนวิเคราะห์ตัวบท (Text) โดยใช้แนวคิดการสื่อสารโน้มน้าวใจ (persuasive communication) ภายใต้บริบทสังคมสมัยใหม่ที่เปิดโอกาสให้ศิลปินสามารถสื่อสารประเด็นทางการเมืองได้
ผลงานของเธอนั้นแยกไม่ออกจากบริบททางการเมืองสหรัฐอเมริกา เนื่องจากผลงานของเธอสะท้อนให้เห็นอุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองที่สำคัญ ได้แก่ อุดมการณ์สตรีนิยมผ่านเพลง “Look What You Made Me Do” (2017) และเพลง “The Man” (2019) อุดมการณ์เสรีนิยมสะท้อนออกมาในเพลง “You Need to Calm Down” (2019) และอุดมการณ์ประชาธิปไตยด้วยการโพสต์ภาพพร้อมข้อความในบัญชี Instagram ส่วนตัวเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2018 และเพลง “Only the Young” (2020) ส่งผลให้เกิดการโน้มน้าวใจผู้รับสารได้ ในช่วงท้าย บทความพิจารณาผลสะท้อนจากการสื่อสารอุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองของเทย์เลอร์ สวิฟต์ต่อผู้รับสารในสังคมอเมริกัน และการเลือกตั้งในสหรัฐฯ ในปี ค.ศ. 2018-2024 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ
