Altruism as the fundamental of Voluntary Mind

Abstract

The article on the “Altruism as the fundamental of Voluntary Mind” intended to study and analyze the issues of the concept of voluntarism if there is any conflict to the concept of altruism or not. How are these two concepts related? Is the concept of helping others by focusing at the benefits of others first by overlook of your own benefit really existed? And from the study, the writer found that the concept of altruism in the view of Theravada Buddhist philosophy which bases on giving or dàna, an action to benefit others, is truly the fundamental of Voluntary Mind.
