Gold Shop’s Crime Prevention Model at Muang District Nakhon Ratchasima

Abstract

This research is aimed to study; 1) crime problem of snatching in the gold shop at Muang District Nakhon Ratchasima, And 2) to study crime prevention model of snatching at Muang District Nakhon Ratchasima’s gold shop, and to use the research’s results for prevention snatching crime in Muang District Nakhon Ratchasima. The research methodology was qualitative data that identified in-depth interview by dividing the informant group on the prevention of crime in the gold shop at Muang District Nakhon Ratchasima into 3 groups. 1) Police as a commander and police officer at Muang District Nakhon Ratchasima. 2) Gold shop operator, association of gold president, Thai Heng Long gold shop that was stolen property in Muang District Nakhon Ratchasima. And 3) office of the municipal clerk of Nakhon Ratchasima, Chief of building control municipal, and the head of municipal town planning at Nakhon Ratchasima. The research results showed that; 1) the important factors of crime were economic, drug, and gambling problem. Because of the gold shop trader was risk group for all crimes such as burglary, snatching, stealth, and robbery. Model of prevention crime at Nakhon Ratchasima police station had 4 main tasks. First, and 2) the gold shop owners communicated with police by calling directly to emergency line 191 when they faced crime and contacted through line application from smart phone.
