Application of Khok Nong Na Model of Bueng Sam Phan District, Phetchabun Province

Abstract

This academic article aimed to apply the Khok Nong Na model of Bueng Sam Phan District, Phetchabun Province. It was found that the application of Ditthadhammikatta  to the principles of sufficiency economy which is a new theory of His Majesty King Rama IX given to farmers that makes the lifestyle of farmers both at family level, community level, social level, and international level to be happy and better accordingly by combining new theory agriculture with the old concept and Ditthadammikattha has been applied in daily life with honesty and diligence, as a result, the productivity of farmers is of high quality and increased as follows: 1) at the family level, happiness comes from having wealth, knowing how to manage the assets and money earned for maximum benefit, living in moderation, non-borrowing. Happiness of human life will achieve the goals that they have set. In addition to being able to benefit from having assets, the society as well as the nation and religion will also benefit; 2) at the community level, happiness comes from spending on consumables. Food is one of the four factors. When the family has enough, it is shared with the community by handing out the neighbors causing human relations in the community to create solidarity and make the community strong; 3) at the social level, happiness comes from not being in debt. Product obtained from the application of the new theory causing agriculture to form a community cooperative to bring the product to be processed into OTOP products sold to villages, sub-districts, districts, resulting in income of farmers without debt; 4) at the international level, happiness comes from an honest occupation. It is the happiness of farmers to work that they like as a profession that their ancestors have done for a long time and it is a safe, non-toxic product from pesticides because they use organic fertilizer made from plant residues mixed with bio-fermented water. Therefore, the products sold out are accepted by customers and have received international standards from neighboring countries. As a result, products are ordered throughout the year.
