Guidelines for Work Performance of Moral Teaching Monks in Schools according to Sangahavatthu IV of Pho Thale District, Phichit Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the working condition of morals teaching monks in schools according to Sangahawat 4 in Pho Thale District, Phichit Province; and 2) to propose guidelines for morals teaching monks’ work in schools according to Sangahawat 4 in Pho Thale District, Phichit Province. This was a mixed methods research. For quantitative research, the questionnaire had a confidence value of .97 with a sample obtained from the Krazy and Morgan table of 181 people from a total population of 340 people. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. In terms of a qualitative research, the tool used in the research was semi-structured interview by collecting data from 9 key informants and summarizing data on problems, obstacles and suggestions by synthetizing descriptive presentation. The results of the research showed that 1) the performance conditions of morals teaching monks in schools in Pho Thale District, Phichit Province, overall was at a high level ( = 4.22) when considering from high to low: 1) the aspect of evaluation, 2) the aspect of teaching and learning management, 3) the aspect of content, 4) the aspect of teaching and learning management; and 2) guidelines for problem solving and recommendations for the performance of morals teaching monks in schools according to Sangahavatthu 4 in Pho Thale District, Phichit Province were as follows: 1) according to Dana, there should be knowledge training on teaching styles, encouragement to work and morale building, 2) according to Piyavaca, administrators and teachers should use polite words while talking and guidance on different ways of working, 3) according to Samanattatta, there should be promotion to provide learning resources that are ready for students to learn, encouraging students to participate in the invention, production and improvement of media which had a solution to the problem by morals teaching monks, and 4) according to Atthacariya, an evaluation model should be selected to suit the learning objectives and funds to purchase technology for monks should be supported.
