The Sangha Administration Roles of the Sangha in Mueang Saraburi District, Saraburi Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the Sangha administration roles of the Sangha in Mueang Saraburi District, Saraburi Province; 2) to compare personal factors affecting the roles of Sangha Administration in Mueang Saraburi District, Saraburi Province. The sample group in the study included 207 monks in Mueang Saraburi District, representing the population of 430 monks. A questionnaire was used as a tool with an objective congruence of .810 and a reliability of .941 in data collecting and analyzing. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The analysis of different personal factors showed an average opinion on the Sangha administration roles of the Sangha. One-way analysis of variance and testing the F value were used to compare the differences in pairs using Chef Fe's method. The results of the research showed that 1) the Sangha administration roles of the Sangha in Mueang Saraburi District, overall was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that most of the monks had their opinions on governance, religious studies, welfare education,  propagation, public utilities and public welfare at a high level in all aspects; and 2) the results of comparing the Sangha administration roles in Mueang Saraburi District tested by analyzing the differences between the variables found that personal factors  classified by age, number of years, and moral education were different in opinions at the statistical significance .01 level and at the .001 level. When classifying in educational qualifications aspect, it was found that they were different in all aspects. As for the moral educational qualifications, it was found that there was no different.
