Crime Management of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the problems in life and property security management; 2) to study the opinion levels of service users towards life and property security management; 3) to study the relationship between personal factors and opinions on life and property security management; and 4) to study security management guidelines for life and property. This was a mixed methods research. The sample group was 452 people who came to use the service, including those who came to worship, pray for blessings, travel or have other purposes by answering questionnaires using accidental sampling method. Statistics used to analyze data were percentage, mean and standard deviation. There were in-depth interviews with six people involved in security management, namely temple committees, the Sangha committees, local officials, security officers, soldiers, polices and administrative officials.It was found that 1) the problem of life and property security management of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan was a physical environment problem, which was a blind corner that was prone to crime; 2) opinions of service users in all aspects, overall, were at the high level. In terms of physical environment management, it was found that there was a mean and a smallest deviation in the opinion level; 3) the relationship between personal factors and opinions towards life and property security management of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan were different; 4) in the aspect of security management guidelines in the life and property of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan, there was an administration that emphasized both defensive and proactive, integrated with those involved in security to meet the needs of those who came in  using the service both in terms of physical environment, people, information and accident to make the security system more quality.
