The Promotion Model of People Participation on Buddhist Way in Anti-Corruption Work and Building the Sustainable Anti-Corruption Network

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were 1) to study the people participation according to the Buddhist way in anti-corruption work; 2) to develop forms and activities of people participation according to the Buddhist way in anti-corruption work; and 3) to create a network of people participation according to the Buddhist way in sustainable anti-corruption work. This was a mixed methods research, namely documentary research, quantitative research, qualitative research and action research. The collection of data, questionnaires, interviews, focus groups and organizing workshops were conducted by collecting data with 635 key informants. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The content analysis was used. The results of the research revealed that 1) in terms of the people participation according to the Buddhist way in anti-corruption work, overall, it was at a high level. When considering the details in each aspect, it was at a high level in every aspect; 2) in the aspect of developing forms and activities of the people participation according to the Buddhist way in anti-corruption work, they were 2.1) anti-corruption awareness promotion model, strengthening the anti-corruption power, promoting the mechanism and anti-corruption tools, and promoting sufficiency economy against corruption; 2.2) activities to promote seedlings of morality, ethics and strengthen awareness against corruption, and raising awareness against corruption, enhancing the participation of partners in the network to drive the power of "Bor-Wor-Ror" against corruption, strengthening the role of monks in preventing corruption and promoting the culture of sufficiency economy way of life;  3) creating a network of people participation according to the Buddhist way in sustainable anti-corruption work, consisted of government networks, local government organization, and educational institutions with potential development and networking processes, namely 3.1) news information, listening to opinions, consultation, planning together, having a collaborative role; 3.2) network building , namely a collaborative thought process, realizing and creating awareness together, and developing together.
