The Factor of Sustainable Leadership for School Administrators under the Educational Service Area Office Nakon Phanom

Abstract

This research article aimed to study the components of sustainable leadership of school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Nakhon Phanom. Informant group was academics, education executives, and school administrators, 10 people. Research tools were interview forms and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by content analysis, mean and standard deviation. The results of the research revealed that the sustainable leadership of secondary school administrators had 4 main components: 1) in terms of diversity, there were 5 indicators: the administrators encouraged personnel to be diverse in their ideas, the administrators encouraged personnel to have a variety of abilities, the administrators encouraged personnel to have a variety of skills, the administrators created operational guidelines to be consistent, the administrators created an environment for personnel development; 2) in the aspect of distribution, there were 4 indicators: the administrators had distribution of work responsibilities, the administrators had decentralized decision-making power in operations, the administrators allowed personnel to participate in operations, the administrators had distributed benefits to members in the organization; 3) in terms of vision, there were 4 indicators: the administrators set clear organizational management goals, the administrators had vision to determine to achieve the goals set, the administrators joined in formulating strategies,  the administrators joined in  formulating strategies to make changes in vision that came true, the administrators had communicated to members of the organization and the community to know the goals they wanted to achieve; 4) in terms of media literacy, there were 3 indicators, namely, the administrators can interpret, analyze, distinguish media based on facts, the administrators were conscious in responding to the media appropriately to the situation, and the administrators were aware of the potential impact of the media in the future.
