Abstract

            The research implementation has been conducted a promotion compelling identity of the Hmong candle writing cloth to increase the value of community products in Mae Pao Sub-district, Phayamengrai District Chiang Rai province. Aims to (1) Study and interpret the meaning from the symbols that appear on Hmong candle writing cloth in Mae Pao Sub-district, Phayamengrai District Chiang Rai province. (2) To study the value creation process of handicraft and candle drawing cloth to be in line with the current trade channels of the Hmong people. and (3) To study the methodology and management of product information that relate to individual craftsmanship identity. Study the main informants from the villagers who were able to write patterns, fabric, and candles for meaning information and studied from community leaders representatives of the candles manufacturer community culture to inquire about ways to increase trade channels. The study area is Ban Khun Huai Mae Pao Tai Community, Mae Pao Subdistrict, Phaya Mengrai District. Chiang Rai.


The result of the research found the candle writing pattern derived from the knowledge and imagination of each author to assemble the pattern into various shapes that have imagination from the nature of close and geometry. It is a pattern inherited in the family that has become a distinctive identity of the Hmong women. Therefore, the meaning of the pattern should depend on the imagination and the relationship with nature, but symbolic and belief meanings appear more in the process of making candles. As can be seen that the pattern of the author in the village can be separated into who's workmanship. Whoever can write difficult patterns then it will be raised and bringing this information to sell products online. Starting from the training for group members, both selling products through the application shopee or facebook fanpage and creating a database of patterns, textiles, writing candles, the Hmong people. In the form of online media for public distribution by creating clips for the process of making candles to write fabric and prepare documents for dissemination on the website of the school of social sciences for the benefit of local and public which can easily access information.
