A strategic administration of the educational institution dministrators, Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, SuratThani province

Abstract

The objectives of this research included: 1) to study the strategic management of school administrators under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 3; 2) to compare the strategic management of school administrators under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area 3; and 3) to propose guidelines in the strategic management of school administrators under the Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. It was a mixed methods research. The sampling groups of 96 people in the research were the school administrators under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 in the academic year 2018. They were selected through random method. Findings of this In research were as follows.

1. The overall strategic management level of school administrators under the Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 was at a high level. When considered by aspect, it was found that all aspects were at a high level. In strategic planning, administrators of large schools gave opinion on strategic planning that strategic plan should be made by assessing and analyzing strengths and weaknesses through the participation of all related parties. Then both the strategic plan and operation plan would focus and enhance the quality of the learners.


2. The results of comparison of the strategic management of the school administrators under the Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 were as the followings: 1) Even different work experience, there was no difference in overall strategic management. Considering by aspect, it was found that the control and assessment of strategies were significantly different in statistics at .05 level while other aspects were not different; 2) School administrators in different size of schools had no difference in overall strategic management. Considering by aspect, it was found that there was no difference in all aspects.


3. The strategic administration guidelines of the educational institution administrators under the Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, were obviously shown that: 1) In the strategic planning; the administrators of the large educational institutions gave their opinion that strategic plan should be made by assessing and analyzing strengths and weaknesses through the participation of all related parties. Then both the strategic plan and operation plan would focus and enhance the quality of the learners; 2) In the implementation of strategy in practice, the administrators should have guidelines to clearly drive the annual operation plan in both documents and meetings. There should also be continuous supervision and follow-up before, during and after the utilization of the strategy by the PDCA process; and 3) In controlling and assessing the strategy, the administrators should continuously supervise and monitor all implementations responding the defined strategies in order to achieve the specified goals.
