Jataka Storytelling activities for Enhancing the Speak Ability to of the early childhood

Abstract

 The objectives of this research were: 1) To study the result of the Jataka storytelling activities for enhancing the speaking ability of the early childhood children; and 2) To compare the speaking ability of the early childhood children before and after using the Jataka storytelling activities. The sample of this research included 15 students aged between 5-6 years studying in the second semester of the academic year 2019 at the kindergarten school at Anuban Yangchumnoi school, Yangchumnoi district, Sri Sa Ket province under the supervision of Sri Sa Ket Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sampling group was selected through simple random sampling.  The duration of 4 weeks of this research was conducted from Monday to Friday between 10.00-10.50 hours in the summer vacation of the academic year 2019. The research tools were 20 learning experience plans and speaking ability test. The statistics used in data analysis included mean, standard deviation and t-test dependent sample. The research findings were as follows. 1) The speaking ability through the experience of Jataka storytelling activities in overall and by aspect was at high level. 2) The early childhood children at post Jataka storytelling activities had higher speaking ability than pre Jataka storytelling activities with statistical significance at the level of .01.
