THE RESULTS OF WHITE SCHOOL PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION TO BE FREE FROM DRUGS AND TEMPTATIONS IN KAENG KHRO WITTHAYA SCHOOL, KAENG KHRO DISTRICT, CHAIYAPHUM PROVINCE

Abstract

The  objectives  of  this  research  were as follows: 1) To  study the level of performance of the White School Project implementation in order to be free from drugs and temptations in Kaeng Khro Witthaya School, Kaeng Khro District, Chaiyaphum Province; and 2) To study the problems, obstacles and suggestions of drug prevention and solutions in Kaeng Khro Witthaya School, Kaeng Khro District, Chaiyaphum Province. The sample group of 355 people included: 288 students; 38 parents; 16 school administrators, teachers and  educational personnel; and 13 school committee members and community representatives. The research instruments were questionnaires with reliability of the whole set at .95. The data were statistically analyzed by percentage (%), mean (),standard deviation (S.D.). Results of this research were as follows. 1. The majority of respondents were female (57.18%) and the rest were male (42.82%). When classified by status, 81.13% were  students, 10.70 % were the parents, 4.51% were the school administrators, teachers and educational personnel and 3.66% were school committee members and community representatives. Majority of the informants or 81.13% was between 13-20 years of age. 2. The overall results of the implementation of the White School Project implementation in order to be free from drugs and temptations in Kaeng Khro Witthaya School, Kaeng Khro District, Chaiyaphum Province were at a high level (=3.81). When considered by aspect, all aspects were at a high level. The highest mean was the output (=3.83) while the lowest mean was the process (=3.78). 3. Opinions on problems, obstacles and suggestions of drug prevention and solutions in Kaeng Khro Witthaya School, Kaeng Khro District, Chaiyaphum Province could be chronologically arranged from the highest to the lowest level as follows: 1) Schools should clearly set policies; 2) The administrators must be able to adequately mobilize the cooperation in operation from the community; 3) All the teachers must perform their tasks according to the procedure and regular inspection and improvement processes; and 4) Creative projects and activities for immunization from drugs and temptations should be continuously implemented.
