THE EFFECTS OF MORAL STORYTELLING ACTIVITIES ON SHARING BEHAVIOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study the sharing behavior of early childhood before, during and after moral storytelling activities and to compare the sharing behavior of the early childhood before, during and after implementing the moral storytelling activities. The number of sample of this research selected through simple random sampling was 22 children aged between 5-6 years studying in kindergarten level class 3/1 in the first semester of the academic year 2020 at Ban Nonchai Municipality School under the Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organization, Muang District, KhonKaen Province. The duration of the experiment was 8 weeks and 3 days per week. The tools used in the research were 24 plans for moral storytelling activities. The overall mean score was 4.77 and the standard deviation was 0.04, the Index of item objective congruence (IOC) was 0.97 and the Early Childhood Sharing Behavior Observation (IOC) was 0.66 - 1.00, the reliability value was 0.75, the statistics used included Mean, Standard deviation, Repeated measured variance (Repeated-measures ANOVA). The research results were as follows. 1) Before implementing the moral storytelling activities, the children hardly shared their materials with friends. During the moral storytelling activities, the children shared their materials with their friends according to the teacher’s suggestion. The children did more group activities with their peers. After implementing the moral storytelling activities, the children had the behavior of sharing materials with their friends. 2) For the results of the moral storytelling activities affecting the sharing behavior of early childhood before, during, and after the activities, scores had been increasing week by week with statistical significance at the .01 level and the rate of change between before, during, and after was higher up to 0.19-1.13 times.
