Practice English Reading Skill through Subtitles

Abstract

This article was studied the way to develop reading skills in English by practicing through subtitles on website of BBC learning English. The practice focused on selecting six minutes lessons of BBC learning English randomly such as the topics of Brain training, Mindfulness, Sighing, Faces and First impression, Food and mood. There are many lessons to learn and practice English Reading skills through the subtitles in BBC learning categories. For sure, the students has just followed the way of this article suggested to practice every day continuously, the development of reading skills will happen gradually on their experience of practice. Because, the article has studied the way to develop and improve reading skills in English showing the results as included: 1) the students are familiar with new vocabulary, 2) The students are familiar with structures of the grammatical sentences, and 3) The students are good at development of British English stress and pronunciation from BBC learning.
