EFFECTIVENESS OF THE NEW ADMINISTRATORS AFFECTING THE QUALITY OF LEARNERS IN SCHOOLS UNDER NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA

Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows: 1) to study the level of effectiveness of school administration of new administrators; 2) to study the level of   quality of learners in schools under responsibility of new administrators; 3) to study components and guidelines for developing effectiveness of school administration of new administrators affecting quality of learners in schools under the Nakhon Si Thammarat   Primary Educational Service Area Office. It was a quantitative research. The sample of this research included 113 new school administrators and 5 key informants.  The instruments used in this research were a questionnaire and a semi-structured in-depth interview form.  The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and multi linear regression. The research results were found as the followings. 1) The overall 4 aspects of effectiveness of new administrators under Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office were at the highest level. When it was considered by aspect, it was found as follows. Budget administration was at the highest mean followed by academic administration. The aspect of general administration was at the lowest mean. 2) For the effectiveness of school administration of new administrators under Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office, it was found that the overall quality of learners (3RBC) was at a high mean. When it was considered by aspect, it was found that compassion including morality, generosity and discipline was at the highest mean, followed by collaboration, teamwork and leadership at a high mean, and critical thinking and problem solving including skills in analytical thinking at the lowest mean. 3) The analysis on effectiveness of new administrators affecting quality of learners in schools under Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office, 1 variable i.e. the aspect of general administration was statistically significant at the level of .05. However, the other 3 aspects including academic administration, budget administration and personnel administration were not statistically significant.
