A STUDY ON LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE SIMPLE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT UNIT AND CREATIVE THINKING OF GRADE 6 STUDENTS THROUGH PROJECT BASE LEARNING

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop a learning management plan of simple electrical circuit learning unit of grade 6 students through project base learning management and be effective according to the criterion of 80/80; 2) to compare learning achievement of simple electrical circuit learning unit of grade 6 students during, before and after classes through project base learning management; 3) to study the outcomes of learning ability in project base learning management of simple electrical circuit of grade 6 students; 4) to compare the creative thinking of grade 6 students during, before and after classes through project base learning management.  Research samples were 10 of grade 6 students studying in the second semester of the academic year 2019 at Ban Sub Sai School, Watabak School Network, Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 3.  Research tools were: 11 project base learning management plans of simple electrical circuit learning units of grade 6 students with the length of 16 hours;   learning achievement test; and creative measurement forms for grade 6 students.  Statistics used for data analysis were percentage, average, standard deviation and the statistics used to test assumptions was Kolmogorov –Smirnov test. The results of this research were as follows. 1) Efficiency of project base learning management plans of simple electrical circuit learning unit of grade 6 students was at 82.09/80.67 that was higher than the specified criterion of 80/80. 2) Grade 6 students as learners through project base learning management in simple electrical circuit learning units had a higher post-class achievement than before the class with statistical significance at .05 level. 3) Grade 6 students as learners through project base learning management in simple electrical circuit learning units had a high level of learning outcomes in project work ability. 4) Grade 6 students as learners through project base learning management had a higher creative thinking ability in post-class achievement than before the class with statistical significance at .05 level.
