A STUDY OF THE RESULTS OF THE LEARNING EXPERIENCES OF STORYTELLING IN SQ3R TECHNIQUE ON THE ABILITY OF THE BRAIN IN LIFE MANAGEMENT AND THE DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS OF EARLY CHILDHOOD IN LEVEL 3

Abstract

The purposes of this research included: 1) to develop a set of learning experiences through storytelling activities in SQ4R technique on the ability of the brain in life management and the desirable characteristics of early childhood in the 3^rd kindergarten with the efficient criteria 75/75; 2) to compare between the ability of the brain in life management of early childhood in the 3^rd kindergarten by a set of learning experiences through storytelling activities in SQ4R technique and the traditional methods; and 3) to compare the desirable characteristics of early childhood in the 3^rd kindergarten, Thetsaban 2 School (Thanon Bamrung Mueang Road), under the Department of Local Administration, Nakhon Phanom Province who had learning experiences through storytelling activities in SQ4R technique and the traditional methods. The sample group consisted of 29 students in the 3^rd kindergarten, academic year 2020, Thetsaban 2 School (Thanon Bamrung Mueang Road), under the Department of Local Administration, Nakhon Phanom Province. The sampling group was acquired through Cluster Random Sampling. The research instruments included: 1) a set of storytelling activities through SQ4R technique; 2) learning experience plans through a set of storytelling activities through SQ4R technique; 3) an assessment form of the ability of the brain in life management; and 4) a desirable characteristics assessment form. Statistics used were mean, standard deviation, and t-test (Independent Samples). The results of this research were as follows.  1) The learning experience plan designed and developed by the researcher through storytelling activities in SQ4R technique on the ability of the brain in life management and the desirable characteristics of early childhood in the 3^rd kindergarten was efficient in accordance with the criteria (E1/E2) at 80.26 / 83.79. 2) Comparison of the results of the ability of the brain in life management of early childhood in 3^rd kindergarten who had learning experiences through storytelling activities in SQ4R technique was significantly higher in statistics than the traditional methods at 0.05 level.  3) Comparison of the results of the desirable characteristics of early childhood in 3^rd kindergarten, Thetsaban 2 School (Thanon Bamrung Mueang Road), under the Department of Local Administration, Nakhon Phanom Province who had learning experiences through storytelling activities in SQ4R technique was significantly higher in statistics than the traditional methods at 0.05 level.
