PARTICIPATION OF THE BASIC EDUCATION SCHOOL BOARDS IN THE SOMSAMRAN SCHOOL NETWORK UNDER UDONTHANI BASIC EDUCATION SERVICE AREA 4

Abstract

This research aimed to study and compare the participation of the basic education school boards in the Somsamran school network under Udon Thani Basic Education Service Area 4 that was classified by school size. The sample group used in this study was the basic education school boards in the Somsamran school network under Udon Thani Basic Education Service Area 4. The number of 88 people were obtained by stratified randomization. The instruments used for data collection was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and the hypothesis test by using t-test (Dependent Samples). The results of the study were as follows. 1) The overall participation of the basic education school boards in education administration of the schools in the Somsamran school network under Udon Thani Basic Education Service Area 4 in all aspects was at a high level. The level of participation could be chronologically ordered as the followings: general administration, budget administration; personnel administration; and academic administration. 2)   The results of the comparison of the participation of the basic education school boards in the Somsamran school network under Udon Thani Basic  Education Service Area 4 between small and large schools were as follows. The general administration and budget administration had a statistical significance at the level of 0.05 that the boards of small schools had a higher level of participation than the large ones whereas the overall personnel administration and academic administration were not statistically significant at the level of 0.05
