GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPING QUALITY OF LIFE BASED ON THE SUFFICIENCY ECONOMY PHILOSOPHY IN THE 23RD RANGER FORCES REGIMENT UNDER THE SECOND ARMY AREA, KANTHARALAK DISTRICT, SISAKET PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to examine the operations for developing quality of life based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) in the 23rd Ranger Forces Regiment under the Second Army Area, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province and to determine the guidelines for developing quality of life based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) in the 23rd Ranger Forces Regiment under the Second Army Area, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province. There were 218 samples in the sample group, with 14 samples in the target group. A questionnaire and an interview form were used to collect data. The statistics used included frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation (SD), and content analysis. The research results indicated that: 1. Overall, operations to develop quality of life based on SEP in the 23rd Ranger Forces Regiment under the Second Army Area, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province were at a high level. When considered by aspect, those with the highest mean were virtue, reasonableness, knowledge, and self-immunity, while the aspect that had the lowest mean was moderation. In terms of virtue, the aspect with the highest mean was having virtue such as honesty, patience, diligence, and consciousness, which are important for living in terms of the mental support to behave positively and properly. In terms of reasonableness, the aspect with the highest mean was life development based on self-reliance, such as being patient, robust, and ready to encounter challenges. In terms of knowledge, the aspect with the highest mean was financial management, which affected living. In terms of self-immunity, the aspect with the highest mean was having activities to strengthen relationships within the family, such as having meals together, growing homegrown vegetables, doing exercise, and field trips on special occasions. In terms of moderation, the aspect with the highest mean was making income and expenses account and making money for savings and spending by spending within the budget. 2. The guidelines for developing quality of life based on SEP in terms of virtue included having moral training every month. Regarding reasonableness, buying products or unnecessary things should be founded on rationality. In terms of knowledge, the access and perception of economic, social, and political information should be available as they are very crucial for living. Regarding self-immunity, money savings and avoidance of recklessness in life should be the top priority. Lastly, with regard to moderation, money should not be spent on unnecessary things that only maintain social status.
