STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP WHICH AFFECT ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE OF SCHOOLS UNDER THE SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 13

Abstract

This research was a survey research. The objectives of the study were as follows to study the strategic leadership of school administrators, to study the academic excellence of the schools and to study the strategic leadership affecting to academic excellence of schools under the secondary educational service area office 13. For research methodology, the sample consisted of 312 teachers from secondary schools under the secondary educational service area office 13. The research instrument was 5 rating scales questionnaire. Statistics which used in the research were frequency distribution, percent, mean, Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis with enter method were used for data analysis. The research results were as follow. 1) The overall of strategic leadership of school administrators was in high level. The highest factor was resources management with morality in organization. The second one was the assistance and supervision for balanced organization. The lowest factor was revolutionary thinking. 2) The overall of academic excellence of school was in high level. When considering in each factor the researcher found that learning achievement had the highest mean and the second was ordinary national educational test. 3) The relationship between strategic leadership of school administrators and academic excellence of schools had a positive correlation in low level with a statistical significance at the level of .01. All factors were able to predict the internal quality assurance of schools under the secondary educational service area office 13 at 12.40 percent.
