THE NEEDS TO DEVELOP COMPETENCY OF SECONDARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE PATHUMTHANIN TO MEET DISRUPTIVE EDUCATION

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to examine the needs to develop the competency of school administrators under Secondary Education service Area office Pathumthani to meet the changes of disruptive education. The sample used in the research were teacher under the secondary Education service Area office Pathumthani. The research model was Quantitative Research. Specifying the sample size by opening the tables of Krejcie and Morgan (Krejcie and Morgan). The sample size was 327 people. Proportional stratified random sampling was used for sample selection based on school size, and then the sample size was calculated to meet the specified criteria. Research instrument was a 5 level-rating scale questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis are frequency, percent (%), average (), standard deviation (S.D.), and the modified priority need index (PNI _Modified) The results of the research were as follows. The overall findings show high level of competency of school administrators for disruptive education (= 3.67, S.D. = 1.117) 2); however, the results show highest level of expectation for school administrators to acquire competency for disruptive education (= 4.90, S.D. = 0.318). with the modified priority need index (PNI Modified) =0.338. When considering by aspects, need for flexible management to cooperatively respond to changes has the highest level of need index (PNI Modified = 0.391) and the use of information technology management (PNI Modified =0.353) in respective order, from matrix analysis the both competency is competency that requires urgent improvement
