POLITICAL CONFLICT AND POLITICAL DEVELOPENT

Abstract

This research article aims; 1) to study the level of political conflict and political development. 2) to study the relationship between political conflict and political development. The samples were people aged 18 years and over living in the lower Northeast of 7,990,072 people. 400 samples by using stratified Multi-stage Sampling method. The instruments used rating scale questionnaire with discrimination of .81-.99 and reliability of 0.98. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson product moment correlation. 1) Political Conflict and political development Overall, it was at a high level (( = 3.99). The aspect with the highest average was political development ( = 3.99), followed by political conflict (( = 3.98). (1.1) The overall political conflict was at a high level ( = 3.98). The mean data conflicts were highest ( = 4.07), followed by conflicts of interest and structural conflicts. which have the same mean ( = 4.00), while the value conflict is the side with the least mean ( = 3.86). (1.2) The overall average political development was at a high level ( = 3.99). Political development in the capacity of the political system showed the highest mean of opinion ( = 4.04), followed by rational political culture ( = 4.00) and equality. and political equality with the same mean ( = 3.93) 2) Political conflict was correlated with political development statistically at .01, with political conflict and political development having a correlation of r .573.
