OPERATION OF CARE AND ASSISTANCE SYSTEM FOR STUDENTS IN CHAIWAN SUB-DISTRICT SCHOOL NETWORK UNDER THE UDON THANI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 3

Abstract

This research aimed to study the operation of student counseling system and study the guidelines for the development of the school's student support system in schools of Chaiwan Subdistrict School Under Supervision of Udonthani Primary Education Area 3 based on 97 teachers'opinions in 5 aspects; including: individual student recognition, students screening, student supports, problem prevention and solving, and student referral. A five-level rating scale questionnaire 40 questions was employed as a research instrument. The questionnaire presented its IOC between 0.67 - 1.00 and reliability was 0.93.  The statistic used for data analysis were means and standard deviation. The research findings revealed that: The operation of student counseling system in schools of Chaiwan Subdistrict School Under Supervision of Udonthani Primary Education Area 3  overall and individual aspect were at high level, ranging from the highest to lowest score; as follows: student supports, student transfer, individual student recognition, student screening, and problem prevention and solving respectively. Guidelines for the development of the school's student support system Chai Wan Subdistrict School Group Under Supervision of Udonthani Primary Educational Service Area 3 In each aspect, there are as follows: Knowing each student individually The counselor should have constant visits to students' homes. Student screening Counselors should be able to systematically solve problems for high-risk students. Student Promotion Counselors should provide comprehensive extra-curricular activities for students. Preventing and solving student problems Counselors provide advice on adjustment and posture.
