AN APPLICATION OF MAHÃSITIPATTHANÃ TO DEVELOP YOUTH IN INTEGRATED BUDDHIST SCHOOL IN NAKHONRATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

This article has the objectives are 1) Study about principle of Mahasatipatthana to develop youth according to Buddhism principles 2) study about problematic condition of Mahasatipatthana to develop youth in integrated Buddhist School in Nakhon Ratchasima Province 3) Application of Mahasatipatthana to develop youth in integrated Buddhist School in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The result is found that 1) Principle of Mahasatipatthana to develop youth according to Buddhism principles; until the wisdom to be able to distinguish between good and evil by oneself and  know what to do and what not to do. Youth is a transitional period that enters adolescence. The attentiveness is required in life and self-development in other areas as well such as generosity, not harassing others and calming the mind 2) Problematic condition of Mahasatipatthana to develop youth in integrated Buddhist School in Nakhon Ratchasima Province; caused from family. In the past, Thai families were extended families but at present, it has become a single family and everyday life, the youth living unconscious and lack of self-care  3) Application of Mahasatipatthana to develop youth in integrated Buddhist School in Nakhon Ratchasima Province; for self-development should be study about attentiveness and practicing regularly. It will make the youth have a strong determination that leads to thinking, consideration, and understanding, which is the reason for better learning outcomes. The youth in Buddhist School in Nakhon Ratchasima Province have to keep attentiveness and enhance consciousness to develop their skills for the benefit of their own careers according to their potential. Using the Buddhist principles as the tools for balancing their life. The principles of Buddhism must be integrated as a guideline for learning management and development such as 5 Precepts, 4 Objects of sympathy, 4 Divine States etc.
