A NEEDS ASSESSMENT OF DEVELOPING ACADEMIC MANAGEMENT OF CHULALONGKORN UNIVERSITY MEDICAL PROGRAM BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF TELEMEDICINE AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Abstract

The study was quantitative research, and its purpose were study the needs assessment of developing academic management of Chulalongkorn University Medical Program based on the concept of telemedicine and interpersonal communication skills. Sample population are executives’ officers of the Faculty of Medicine and president of the 6th grade student with total of 40 people. The research instruments were a rating-scaled questionnaire about needs of developing academic management of Chulalongkorn University Medical Program based on the concept of telemedicine and interpersonal communication skills and the reliability is 0.98. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and PNI_Modified. The research finding was found that the overall needs of developing academic management of Chulalongkorn University Medical Program based on the concept of telemedicine was 0.59 (PNI_modified = 0.59), the first priority need of academic management was evaluation (PNI_modified = 0.62), teaching process was the second priority need (PNI_modified = 0.60), and the last priority need was curriculum development (PNI_modified = 0.52), and the overall needs of developing academic management of Chulalongkorn University Medical Program based on the concept of interpersonal communication skills was 0.57 (PNI_modified = 0.57), the first priority need of academic management was evaluation (PNI_modified= 0.65), teaching process was the second priority need (PNI_modified=0.60), and the last priority need was curriculum development (PNI_modified = 0.56).
