THE ADMINISTRATIVE STRATEGY OF PHRAPARIYATTIDHAMMA SCHOOLS, GENERAL EDUCATION DIVISION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOOD GOVERNANCE PRINCIPLES

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the current condition, desirable, and needs of administration of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, General Education Division; 2) to develop an administrative strategy of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, General Education Division according to the principles of good governance; 3) to evaluate the administrative strategy of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, General Education Division according to good governance principles. This study was carried out by means of mixed-method research between quantitative and qualitative research. The research tools consisted of a questionnaire, an interview form, and a strategy suitability check form. For quantitative research, the sample group consisted of administrators, teachers, and monks in Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, General Education Division, Academic Year 2021. The target group consisted of 217 informants. For the quantitative research, the statistics used were: Frequency, Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation. There were ten experts and educational institution administrators. The content analysis was used to summarize the research. The research results were as follows: 1) The administrative condition of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, General Education Division in accordance with the principles of good governance: the mean value of the desirable condition was higher than that of the present condition in all aspects and issues. The overall mean value was at a high level. They were sorted in order of importance of needs by considering PNI values as follows: ​​(1) general administration, (2) human resources administration, (3) budget administration, and 4) academic administration. 2) The strategy for the administration of Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Department, according to the principles of good governance, consisted of four main strategies: (1) a strategy for building and developing learners to be quality religious heirs; (2) a strategy for developing a solid school management system with standards and sustainable quality; (3) a strategy for enhancing the capacity of Thailand as a center for the study of Phrapariyattidhamma Studies, general education of the world; (4) a strategy to maintain and propagate Buddhism to flourish. 3) The evaluation results of the administrative strategy of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, General Education Division, according to good governance principles by experts, found that the strategy was appropriate, feasible and useful overall at the highest level and it can be used for actual development.
