Abstract

The book titled “The Heart of Buddhist Meditation” is a guideline in cultivating a good practice. It is a book that explains the basic knowledge of the practice of foundations of mindfulness leading to the practice of insight development according to the discourse of four foundations of mindfulness. The explanation of the discourse of four foundations of mindfulness aims to enhance the learners to evidently approach the essence of the Buddhist principles. This is for building peace of mind and purifying the mind out of stains. It is the path of ultimate extrication. For all who want to practice meditation or contemplation, the discourse of four foundations of mindfulness should be studied to find the knowledge as a guideline for practice to void getting lost from the right path. The foundation of mindfulness is a matter of creating the right mindfulness to determine the realization of extrication.
