THE STUDY OF THE PATH-GOAL THEORY LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE KAMPHAENGPHET PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to study the path-goal theory leadership of school administrators in schools under the Kamphangphet Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample consisted of 132 Kamphangphet primary educational service area Office 1 schools. The size of the sample was determined using Craigie and Morgan's table, and the sample was taken using stratified sampling method.The sample group was the target and teachers in the amount of 264 people. The research tool was a 37-item questionnaire, and data were collected using a 5-level evaluation scale. Mean and standard deviation statistics were used in data analysis. The research results showed that the path-goal leadership of school administrators under the Kamphangphet primary educational service area Office 1, was generally high. The top leadership status with the highest average value was participative leadership, followed by achievement-oriented leadership and supportive leadership, while the lowest average leadership status was directive leadership.
