A FOLLOW–UP STUDY ON GRADUATES OF THE EASTERN UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY FOR 2020

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study graduates’ status after finishing their studies, compare graduates’ opinion towards the university, compare administrators’ opinions, and study advisory teachers’ opinions about the graduates’ characteristics and studying ability, as they continued to study further in the graduate level. The sample group was 240 graduates who answered the questionnaires during the graduation ceremony and to which the questionnaires were sent by mail according to the graduates’ present addresses. The research tool was the questionnaire inquiring about graduates’ opinion of the university and the questionnaire about employers’ opinion of the university. The research tool had a reliability score of 0.84. The statistics using for data analysis were, namely, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and   f-test. The research findings: From the test, the graduates belonged to different faculties and had different employment status would have different level of the learning outcome at a statistically significant level of 0.05; and for the graduates who were the opposite sex and belonged to different faculties, there were  statistically significant differences in earning monthly average income. The graduates had different sex had opinions towards the university in terms of student activities differently at  a statistically significant level of 0.05.The graduate users, entrepreneurs, or employers had satisfaction level towards  the graduates of the Eastern University of Management and Technology in overall at the high level (X̅= 4.26). Graduates’ advisory  teachers had opinion that the ability and characteristics of the graduates in studying further for graduate studies was at the high level, except for the aspects of raising questions and showing opinions, self-confidence, and  assertiveness that at the highest level and the aspect of the ability in using English that at the moderate level.
