ETHICS OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS IN THE NEW NORMAL ERA

Abstract
This academic article aimed to study the ethics of business organizations in the new normal era. Organizations are constantly faced with changes in various ways. Under the current situation in which the spread of COVID-19 and other emerging diseases still exist, every organization needs to adapt by operating honest business practices, without taking advantage of customers, and providing the best products or services to customers. Accordingly, it is important for business organizations to recognize the importance of ethics, which has direct and indirect effects on organizational image and sustainability. Business ethics contributes to the profitability of an organization by reducing the cost of transactions, building a foundation of trust among stakeholders, participating in development, giving importance to internal development in a form of successful teamwork, and maintaining social capital as an aspect of the organization’s image. In the era of the new normal after the COVID-19 pandemic, business organizations need to prepare and adapt themselves, particularly in terms of skills development, increased income, expansion of business potential, and increased competitive capability, both domestically and internationally, by setting clear goals in organizational ethics with transparency and accountability as well as taking appropriate action against unethical practices.
