SPORTS MANAGEMENT TOWARDS EXCELLENCE TO PROMOTE THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS SCHOOLS IN THE NORTHERN REGION UNDER THE NATIONAL SPORTS UNIVERSITY, MINISTRY OF TOURISM AND SPORTS.

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the conditions of sports management toward excellence to promote the sustainable development of sports schools in the Northern Region under the National Sports University, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and to study the guidelines for the development of sports management toward excellence to promote the sustainable development of sports schools in the Northern Region under the National Sports University, Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The sample groups used in the research included 15 school administrators, 71 sports coaches and teachers of ordinary subjects, and 5 qualified persons in semi-structured interviews. The tools used in the research were questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The statistics used in the data analysis included the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis, and were presented descriptively.
The results showed that sports management toward excellence to promote the sustainable development of sports schools in the Northern Region under the National Sports University, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in overall, was at a high level in all aspects. When considering each aspect in descending order of average was planning, organizational leadership, corporate governance, respectively, and the last area of average as organizational management.
Guidelines for the development of sports management toward excellence to promote the sustainable development of sports schools in the Northern Region under the National Sports University, Ministry of Tourism and Sports were that there should be the establishment procedures for the implementation of the planned work. There should be an integration of cooperation networks with sports-related agencies to develop sports with other agencies. The administrator should have the role of organizational leaders, know how to motivate and use teamwork processes to achieve the goals of the organization and there should be an evaluation of the implementation of various activities according to the planned work to bring results to develop and plan for athletes to excel further.
