THE DEVELOPING COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM USING PICTURES AND ROLE-PLAYING

Abstract

Children with autism Has developmental disabilities that cause limitations in communication This research has studied Guidelines for providing assistance The objective is to develop the communication skills of children with autism by using pictures to accompany role-playing. and to compare the communication skills of children with autism before and after using pictures for role-playing. The target group is 5 children with autism, ages 3-7 years. The tools used in the research consisted of a communication skills assessment form and learning management plans using pictures to accompany role playing, 5 plans, used to teach each plan 3 times, 1 hour each time, totaling 15 hours.

 The results of the research found that: 1) The communication skills of children with autism who were developed by using pictures for role playing increased as follows: Person 1, the average before development was 1.18, the average After development is 4.72, person 2, the average before development is 1.22, the average after development is 4.74, person 3, the average before development is 1.22, the average after development is 4.76, person 4, the average before development is 1.24. The average after development was 4.72. Person 5, the average before development was 1.30, the average after development was 4.68. 2) Children with autism had different communication skills before and after using pictures for role playing. Everyone has improved communication skills after studying. The average before studying for all five people was 1.23. The average after studying for all five people was 4.72
