COMPETENCY OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS EFFECTING ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION UNDER NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PRIMARY EDUCATIONALSERVICE AREA OFFICE 3

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the competency of school administrators, 2) examine academic administration of school under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, 3) study the competency of school administrators that effect the academic administration, and 4) investigate the ways to develop the competency of school administrators that effect the academic administration. The subject were administrators of school and teachers under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 determined using Krejcie and Morgan's Table. Stratified random sampling was used the method of sampling, the population was divided into strata based on size of school during academic year 2023. The research instrument was a 5-rating scale of Likert Scale questionnaire on competency of school administrators that effect the academic administration under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 with a reliability of .97. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, Person correlation coefficient and analysis of multiple regression.

The research result found that:

1. The overall competency of school administrators under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 was at the highest level (, S.D. = .36) in all aspects.


2. The overall academic administration of school under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 was at the highest level (, S.D. = .32) in all aspects.


3. The competency of school administrators under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 significantly at .01 level of significance were stimulating the result driven ( ), educational policy ( ) and team work ( ), Coefficient of Determination ( ) was .527, the adjusted Coefficient of Determination (adjusted ) was .522, and S.E. est was .22212


4. According to the guidelines on the development of the competency of school administrators affecting the academic administration, it was found that the school administrator must have systematic management. Plan your work thoroughly. Use the principles of PDCA cycle management to help the administration meet its objectives. Have knowledge and understanding of curriculum administration and development. Have initiative and creative thinking; be able to help and share new knowledge to facilitate teachers' use in organizing child-centered teaching and learning. Educational institution administrators must act as a good example. Listen to other people's opinions. Honor yourself and others. You must also have communication skills. Coordinate with the team to define roles and responsibilities in the work. In order for the operation to be successful.
