THE DEVELOPING CREATIVITY AND MATHEMATIC LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT FOR GRADE 3 BY USING 4MAT LEARNING

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to; 1) compare the creative thinking of third-grade elementary students before and after receiving teaching activities using the 4 MAT learning cycle format, 2) compare the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade elementary students before and after receiving teaching activities using the 4 MAT learning cycle format, 3) and study the satisfaction of third-grade elementary students towards teaching activities using the 4 MAT learning cycle format. The research population consisted of third-grade students from Anubanpaphayom school, Phatthalung province, in the second semester of the academic year 2023, totaling 30 students in one classroom. The sample group was selected using cluster random sampling. Research tools included: 1) The learning management plan using the 4 MAT learning cycle format for the mathematics learning domain, third-grade level, focuses on Unit 8: Division. 2) The mathematics creativity test consists of 3 questions. 3) The mathematics learning outcome test, comprising 30 questions. 4) The assessment questionnaire on satisfaction with mathematics teaching activities using the 4 MAT learning cycle format, comprising 18 questions. Statistical analysis used the mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
