MIND MAPPING USAGE TO ENHANCE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ABILITIES AND THINKING SKILLS OF ENGLISH TEACHING STUDENTS IN MAHAMAKUT BUDDHIST UNIVERSITY, SRILANCHANG CAMPUS.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were (1) to study English language abilities of English Teaching students in Mahamakut Buddhist University, Srilanchang Campus, from mind mapping usage, (2) to study thinking skills of English Teaching students in Mahamakut Buddhist University, Srilanchang Campus, from mind mapping usage, and (3) to study satisfaction of English Teaching students with mind mapping usage to enhance English language abilities and thinking skills of English Teaching students in Mahamakut Buddhist University, Srilanchang Campus. The target group of the research were 14 second-year students in Bachelor of Education Program in English Teaching, Mahamakut Buddhist University, Srilanchang Campus, studying the subject “Development of Instructional Media and Learning Activities” (ED1080) and the subject “Information Technology and Instructional Media for English Teaching” (ED1059) in the second semester of the academic year 2560. The instruments of the research were comprised of (1) English Language Ability Measurement, (2) Thinking Skill Measurement, and (3) Student’s Satisfaction toward Mind Mapping Usage. The statistics used for data analysis were comprised of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
