Learning Resource Management in the Historical and Cultural of the Pagoda in Southern Thailand

Abstract

The purposes of this article were 1) to study the historical and cultural learning resources; 2) to develop knowledge and the process of managing historical and cultural learning resources of the pagoda in Southern Thailand; and 3) to propose a management model for historical and cultural learning resources of the pagoda in Southern Thailand. This is qualitative research by studying the document and in-depth interviews with 17 key-informants, presenting by the descriptive research results.

The study found that:

1. 1. The historical and cultural learning resources

The three pagodas in Southern Thailand, including Phra Borommathat Chaiya, Suratthani Province, Phra Borommathat Chedi Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, and Phra Mahathat Wat Khian Bang Kaeo, Patthalung province are all sources of historical and cultural learning resources of the southern people.

1. 2. The develop of knowledge and the process of managing historical and cultural learning resources of the pagoda in Southern Thailand. The 3 Southern pagodas is a learning resource for the community and the southern people which has knowledge development and has processes for managing historical and cultural learning resources that can lead to systematic management of database and knowledge of local wisdom.


2. 3. The management model for historical and cultural learning resources of the pagoda in Southern Thailand. The Management model for historical and cultural learning resources. There should be a management process based on the Quality Cycle (PDCA) and it is ongoing. It will be a model that can help the management of historical and cultural learning resources to achieve success according to the goals.
