ETHICAL STANDARDS OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS ACCORDING TO THE ATTITUDE OF TEACHER UNDER THE OFFICE OF TRANG KRABI SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA

Abstract

The objectives of this independent study were 1) to study ethical standards of school administrators according to the attitude of teacher under the office of Trang Krabi secondary educational service area and 2) to compare ethical standards of school administrators according to the attitude of teacher under the office of Trang Krabi secondary educational service area which classified by status, gender, age, educational level and work experience. The sample size was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan table. The sample consisted of 297 teachers which obtained by simple random sampling method. The instruments used in this study were divided into two parts: the first part was the general information of the respondents, and the second part was the questionnaires of ethical standards of school administrators according to the attitude of teacher under the office of Trang Krabi secondary educational service area which was the 5-Point Likert scale. The reliability of the whole questionnaire was 0.985. The statistics used in this study were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, F-test and One-way ANOVA. If there is a statistically significant, pair differences will be tested using Scheffe's Method. The results showed that 1) ethical standards of school administrators according to the attitude of teacher under the office of Trang Krabi secondary educational service area in overall and each aspect were at a high level ranked from the highest to the lowest average as follows: Adherence to the main institutions of the country: the nation, religion, monarchy, and the democratic regime of government with the King as Head of State, Fair performance of duties and non-discrimination, the courage to decide and doing what is right, honesty, good conscience and responsibility for duties, the thought of public interest rather than the personal benefit and public mind,  the achievement of work and maintaining oneself as a good role model and maintaining the image of the government, respectively. 2) The comparison of ethical standards of school administrators according to the attitude of teacher under the office of Trang Krabi secondary educational service area was found that when classification by gender, educational level and work experience, the overall and each aspect were not different and when classification by age, the overall and each aspect were significantly different at the level of .05.
