จากนวนิยายรูปแบบจดหมายสู่นิยายแชต: การศึกษาเชิงเปรียบเทียบลำดับและระยะเวลา ในการเล่าเรื่อง

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบรูปแบบการเล่าเรื่องในนวนิยายรูปแบบจดหมาย และนิยายแชต (chat fiction) โดยใช้แนวคิดสัญศาสตร์การเล่าเรื่องของ Gerard Genette ในส่วนของลำดับการเล่าเรื่อง (Order) และระยะเวลาการเล่าเรื่อง (Duration) เพื่อวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบโครงสร้างการเล่าเรื่องระหว่างวรรณกรรมทั้งสองประเภท โดยคัดเลือกข้อมูลจากตัวอย่างวรรณกรรม 4 เรื่อง ได้แก่ Dangerous Liaisons, TTYL, Private Chat และ WHO #ใครอีกคน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า รูปแบบจดหมายมีลักษณะการย้อนอดีตแบบ “Complete analepsis” ในขณะที่นิยายแชตมักเรียงลำดับเหตุการณ์ตามลำดับเวลามากกว่า โดยมีการแทรก “Partial analepsis” ในด้านระยะเวลาการเล่าเรื่อง หน้าที่ของจดหมายส่งผลให้ระยะเวลาการเล่าเรื่องในนวนิยายประกอบด้วยไป “Summary” และ “Descriptive pause” ในทางกลับกัน chat fiction ในรูปแบบสิ่งพิมพ์ (TTYL) จำลอง “typographical scene” ในขณะที่แพลตฟอร์ม chat fiction ทำให้เกิด “dynamic scene” พร้อมทั้งเกิด “pauses” ที่สร้างขึ้นจากการระบบตั้งค่าการอ่านและสัญลักษณ์แสดงการพิมพ์ (...) (typing indicators) อย่างไรก็ตาม นิยายทั้งสองรูปแบบมีการใช้ “Ellipsis” ในการเล่าเรื่องอย่างสม่ำเสมอ ท้ายที่สุด ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่า เครื่องมือสื่อสารในฐานะสื่อกลางการเล่าเรื่อง ส่งอิทธิพลอย่างมีนัยสำคัญต่อการเล่าเรื่อง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในด้านลำดับเวลาและเวลาของการเล่าเรื่อง ซึ่งก่อให้เกิด dramatic effects ที่แตกต่างกัน ตลอดจนหล่อหลอมการสำรวจแก่นเรื่อง อาทิ ความรัก, ความสัมพันธ์ชู้สาว, การนินทา, มิตรภาพ และความสยองขวัญเชิงจิตวิทยา
