Factors Affecting Work Motivation of the Employees at Lak Song Sub-District Administration Organization, Ban Paeo District, Samut Sakhon Province

The aims of this research were to 1) studying factors that have an effect on work motivation of the personnel, and 2) comparing factors affecting work motivation of the employees working with personal factors in terms of sex, age, education, monthly income, and types of position. The sample size includes 70 individuals who work at the Lak Song sub-district administration organization, Ban Paoe district, Samut Sakhon province. The questionnaires with the reliability value of .92 are used to collect data. The descriptive statistical data include percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The data also are analyzed by using t-test, One-way ANOVA and then run Scheffe’s test to find out which pairs of means are significant.
The results were as follows:
1. The overall value of factors affecting work motivation of the employees at Lak Song sub-district administration organization, Ban Paeo district, Samut Sakhon province is at the high level. It was discovered that the value of motivation factors are higher than maintenance factors at 3.72 and 3.67 When consider each item separately, it was found that the employees have high values of motivation factors except those in job advancement and compensation and welfare items are at moderate level.
2. There is no difference between the overall maintenance and motivation factors and the personal factors of the employees working at Lak Song sub-district administration organization, Ban Paeo district, Samut Sakhon province. There is no relationship between motivation factors and the personal factors in terms of sex, age, education, monthly income, and types of position. There is also no relationship between maintenance factors and the personal factors in terms of sex, age, education, monthly income, and types of position.
