A study of the training results of Buddhabutra Thammathida Camp of Primary School Students in Phiphat Ratbamrung School, Kamalasai Sub-district, Kamalasai District, Kalasin Province

The aims of this research were: 1) to study the problems of 4-6 primary school students at Phiphat Ratbamrung School, Kamalasai Sub-district, Kamalasai District, Kalasin Province; 2) to study the application of the dhamma principles used in Buddhabutra Thammathida Camp; 3) to study the results of training of Buddhabutra Thammathida Camp of 4-6 primary school students at Phiphat Ratbamrung School, Kamalasai Sub-district, Kamalasai District, Kalasin Province This study was carried out by means of a qualitative research methodology focusing on documentary study and interviews.
The results were as follows:
1. That problems about social behavior and factors that cause students to have risk behaviors are a problem that is commonly seen in schools due to the causes of technological progress directly affecting the values of students. It is a personal factor that is a natural desire of adolescents with their own ideas that sometimes appear to be contrary to Thai cultural traditions, caused by their age and curiosity.
2. Buddhism principles used in Buddhabutra Thammathida Camp are inserted in the activity to cultivate them in six stations of activities. The activity results in a better understanding of the dhamma principles of students and satisfactory better behavior in terms of their diligence, patience, economy, honesty, gratitude and prevention of all vices. The students use it appropriately in daily life.
3. After the students’ participation in the Buddhabutra Thammathida Camp, students’ problems related to social behavior and factors have changed. Students have better behavior. Buddhabutra Thammathida Camp is a training and development camp for students, which is a basic unit that helps to connect and strengthen ‘Bo-won’ (houses, temples, schools) in the future.
