Risk Management of School Administors In Basic Education Institution under The Office of Khonkaen Primari Educational Service Area 1

The purposes of this research were: to study the risk management conditions of the administrators in basic education institutions classified by samples’ position, educational background and work experience; to study the guidelines for the development of risk management in basic education institutions. This study employed a mixed methodology research. For the quantitative research, the samples were 113 participants selected by sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire with reliability value equal to 0.99. The data was analyzed by using software packages. The statistics used were Mean and Standard Deviation. For qualitative research, the target group included 5 school administrators, selected by purposive sampling. The tools used were interview forms and content analysis was used to find the conclusion.
The research results were as follows:
1. The risk management of the school administrators, in general, showed the mean value at a high level of practice and the lowest mean is the targeted operation results The guidelines for risk management development in basic education institutions.
2. Based on the research results obtained from the aspect of the targeted operation results, the lowest mean of practice, there should be measures to increase the potential for risk management, such as regular working group meetings, determination of goals and common values of success, encouraging everyone to participate in setting goals and the results of operations should have a clear consistent goal, The special measures should be taken in the following principles: 1) risk management techniques are applied to the assigned mission; 2) promotion, development of tools for implementing risk management at the operational level; 3) developing personnel to have risk management skills; 4) awareness of various risks that may affect the organization's goals; 5) identification of issues and risk factors that will affect the performance of the organization; 6) improving the quality and effectiveness of risk management for the target.
