The objectives of this present study were 1) to develop grade-8 students’ ability to read English language for comprehension through CIRC Cooperative Learning Management Technique and 2) to study the students’ satisfaction with studying under the CIRC Group Cooperative Learning Management Technique. The sample group consisted of 28 grade-8 students in Kokesi Pittayasan School under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area 25, who were selected through random sampling during the first semester of the 2019 academic year. The One-Group Pretest-Posttest research design was used for the experiment, and research instruments include 3 categories of 1) 10 lesson plans for the development of the students’ ability to read English language for comprehension through CIRC Cooperative Learning Management Technique. It took 10 instructional periods to complete, 2) a 4-choice learning achievement objective test on reading English language for comprehension consisting of 30 items which was constructed by the researcher
herself and 3) a 20-item assessment form with Likert’s 5-level rating scale for assessing the students’ satisfaction with learning management using the CIRC Cooperative Learning Management Technique.
The findings were as follows:
1. A comparison of the students’ mean pretest score of 27.94% as against their mean posttest score of 86.06% shows that their posttest ability to read English language for comprehension is significantly higher than their pretest one at the .05 level;
2. The students’ satisfaction with studying under the CIRC Group Cooperative Learning Management Technique was at the 3.86 level which is a “high” level.
