Abstract

The objectives of this research that: 1) to study the concepts, Theory and philosophy regarding the elderly school project, 2) to study activities to promote the development of quality of life and learning management of the WaiKaew school project, Nong Son sub-district, Chiang Yuen district, 3) to study the guidelines for the application of Buddhist principles for enhancing the quality of life and learning of the elderly students of Waikaew School, Nong Son sub-district, Chiang Yuen district, Mahasarakham province. It is a qualitative research in the field and in-depth interview than the data were analyzed for descriptive analysis.
The research found that:
1. The Concepts, theories and philosophy regarding the elderly school project found that the elderly schools operate under the concept of promoting the learning long life of the elderly for create learning potential and develop self-care skills. This concept will lead to the development of the quality of life of the elderly on the concept based that the elderly have value and potential. It should be encouraged and Support for participation in the benefit of society.
2. The Activities to promote the development of quality of life and learning management of Waikaew students of WaiKaew school, found that it increases the opportunity for the Waikaew students to participate. At the same time, all sectors join thinking, join doing, and join creating and participate in operations organizing learning activities to make the elderly happy both physically and mentally, than they can
develop quality self-care skills.
3. Guidelines for the application of Buddhist principles for enhancing the quality of life and learning of Waikaew students of Waikaew school found that promoting well-being and learning for the elderly in accordance with the Buddhist principles is to build immunity for physical, mental, social and intellectual diseases such as walking meditation in a way that leads to physical health, praying to pay respect to gods, the behavior of the precepts causes no conflicts in society and prosperity is the cause of enlightenment.
