The Political Particiption of the people in the Local Administration in Chatturat District Chaiyaphum Province

This research aimed to 1) study the level of political participation of people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province; 2) compare the political participation of the people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province; 3) study ways to promote political participation of people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province. This study was carried out by means of the mixed method research. The sample consisted of 390 participants and 10 key informants. The research instruments were questionnaires and interviews. The statistics used for data analysis.
The research results were as follows:
1. The level of opinions on political participation of the people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province, in all 5 aspects overall was at the highest level.
2. Comparison of the political participation of the people in local administration revealed that people of different sexes had no different participation in politics. People with different age, education and monthly income had political participation differently with statistical significance level of 0.05.
3. The ways for promoting political participation of the people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province are that the performance of local leaders should be examined. The local leaders should listen to the policy for community problem solving and development. They should love what they do and be diligent in work and attentive in what they do and use their wisdom to examine.
