Strategic Leadership of Educational Administrators Affecting the Quality Assurance Operations of Educational Institutions Under the Office of the Secondary Education Area

This research aimed to: 1) Study the strategic leadership of school administrators and the status of quality assurance implementation in schools. 2) Examine the strategic leadership of school administrators that affects the implementation of quality assurance in schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Offices. The study employed a quantitative research methodology. The sample group consisted of 399 teachers, determined using Taro Yamane’s formula. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of .96. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research results found that:
1. The overall level of strategic leadership among school administrators was high ( = 4.30, S.D. = 0.54). When ranked from highest to lowest, the aspects were: higher-order cognitive leadership, expectations and opportunities creation for the organization's future, shared vision formulation, revolutionary thinking, strategic direction setting, and support for an effective organizational culture. Meanwhile, the overall status of quality assurance implementation in schools was also high (
= 4.38, S.D. = 0.46). When ranked from highest to lowest, the aspects were: Development of educational management plans based on school standards, Implementation according to the school development plans, Annual self-assessment reporting to supervisory agencies, Monitoring and evaluation for continuous school quality development, Internal evaluation and quality assurance within schools, and Setting educational standards for the schools.
2. Strategic leadership of educational institution administrators that affect the overall quality assurance operations of educational institutions consisted of determining the organization's strategic direction (x1), setting a vision (x4), supporting an effective organizational culture (x6), revolutionary thinking (x3), and leaders with a high level of understanding (x2), respectively.
