The Relationship Between Strategic Leadership of Administrators and Conflict Management in Schools Under Secondary Educational Service Area Office Khon Kaen

The purposes of this study were to: (1) examine the level of strategic leadership of school administrators, (2) investigate the level of conflict management in schools, and (3) analyze the relationship between strategic leadership and conflict management in schools. This study employed a quantitative research design. The sample consisted of 356 school administrators and teachers, selected through proportional stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire with high reliability. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient.
The findings revealed that:
1. The overall level of strategic leadership of school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Khon Kaen, was at the highest level. When considered by dimension, organizational direction setting had the highest mean, followed by organizational culture, adaptability to change, vision, and organizational control.
2. The overall level of conflict management in schools was at a high level. When considered by dimension, cooperation ranked highest, followed by avoidance, accommodation, compromise, and competition.
3. Strategic leadership was positively correlated with conflict management in schools at a very high level (r = 0.848), with statistical significance at the .01 level. Among the dimensions, organizational culture showed the strongest relationship with cooperation.
